Since 1972, Upstate Films has delighted and inspired locals and visitors to our region.
We celebrate the best of cinema—foreign films, documentaries, independent and the best of Hollywood old and new—at the Starr Cinema in Rhinebeck and our newly acquired Orpheum Theatre in Saugerties.
All of us at Upstate Films love movies—but we also care deeply about supporting local economic growth, community development and cultural enrichment throughout the Hudson Valley. We are passionate about making a difference in our communities and believe that cinema is a powerful tool for inspiring empathy and bringing people from all walks of life together.
